  • What age groups does ADA teach?

    We start teaching dance at 2 years old thru adult.

  • Is there an age at which you believe it is too old to begin dance?

    No age is too old to start learning how to dance or tumble. We encourage all students to start when they feel they are ready to learn and be challenged.

  • Where and when is the annual recital held?

    Our annual recital is held at the beautiful Jefferson Performing Arts Center in Kenner, La. The recital is usually held the first or second weekend in May.

  • How long is the annual recital?

    The recital lasts about 3.5 hours.

  • What type of classes ADA offers?

    The studio offers many styles of classes including Classical Ballet, Modern, Tap, Hip Hop, Jazz & Tap combination class, Ballet & Tap combination class, Level Tumbling classes, Competition Team & Marching Group, Hip Hop Squad, and Competitive Cheer.

  • How much is tuition? When is it due?

    After the 10th, a $25 late fee is added to student’s account. If the studio is closed on the first due to a holiday payments still must be received by the first, thru mail, studio drop box, online payment, or early pay. Tuition is based on a 10 installments pay scale. All students are required to pay tuition August thru May. All classes end after the recital in early May and begin in June for summer classes.

  • When do classes start?

    Fall classes will start the third week of August.

  • What is the dance/tumble attire?

    Dance attire: a leotard, tan stockings, and hair pulled back

    Classical Ballet attire: black ADA leotard ($30), pink stockings, and hair in a bun

    Tumbling attire: assigned leotard ($40) and black booty shorts

    Tumbling leotard is also worn at the recital!

  • If we miss classes, do you offer makeup classes?

    ADA does not offer make up classes, but we do offer private lessons for an additional cost. We encourage all students to attend their class during their assigned time and date.

  • When does a student move up to the next level?

    Evaluations are done twice a year. Each level requires certain skills that have to be mastered in order to be in that level.

  • Does my child need certain shoes?

    Ballet class needs pink ballet shoes. Tap needs black tap shoes. Jazz needs tan gore boots.

  • When is the best time to start?

    It’s never too late to start, but the earlier the better!

  • Why should I take private lessons and how often?

    Individual lesson helps a student focus better. It allows them to work on their personal goals. Once a week is the average a student takes lessons. The more the better!!

  • Does ADA accept male students?

    Yes, ADA accepts males!

  • How do I enroll my child at ADA?

    You can register during working hours or you can do it online.

  • What payment methods are accepted?

    Cash, Check, and Credit Card.
