- What age do you start?We start teaching at age 2. But starting this year, 2022, We have started the first ever Boppin Babies class. This is a 30 min class designed for our tiniest dancers to enjoy with their mom, dad, or other caretaker.
- Is there an age at which you believe it is too old to begin dance?No age is too old to start learning how to dance or tumble. We encourage all students to start when they feel they are ready to learn and be challenged.
- What are you doing to keep students safe during COVID-19?At ADA, to keep our students and families safe, our lobby is closed for hanging out. Each class will enter through the door of their classroom and use the sanitizer as they enter. Classrooms and equipment are cleaned after each use. Masks are not required unless a government mandate is put into place.
- When and where is the annual recital held?Our annual dance, tumble, and cheer recital is on May 13th, and the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner.
- How long is the annual recital?The recital lasts about 3.5 hours.
- What type of dance and/or gym floor is used?Both dance and tumbling are physical activity that require jumping which can put stress on bones and joints. At ADA, we provide Marley dance floors and NEW spring floor for our gym and tumbling classes.
- What type of classes do you offer?At ADA we offer dance, tumble, and cheer classes. These include ballet, tap & jazz combo, contemporary, hip hop, and competitive dance. We also offer all levels of tumbling, cheer prep classes, and competitive cheer.
- How much is tuition and when is it due?Tuition for 1 class is $50, for an additional class is $40, and an additional third class is $30. The more classes you take, the better the discount! Monthly tuition is due on the 1st of each month. A late fee of $25 will be applied to your account if you haven't paid by the 2nd.
- When do classes start?Classes start in early August.
- What is the dance/tumble/cheer dress code?All classes require specific attire that can be purchased through the studio.
- If we miss classes, do you offer makeup classes?ADA does not offer make up classes, but we do offer private lessons for an additional cost. We encourage all students to attend their class during their assigned time and date.
- When does a student move up to the next level?Evaluations are done twice a year. Each level requires certain skills that have to be mastered in order to be in that level.
- When is the best time to start?It’s never too late to start, but the earlier the better!
- Why should I take private lessons and how often?Individual lesson helps a student focus better. It allows them to work on their personal goals. Once a week is the average a student takes lessons. The more the better!!
- Does ADA accept male students?Yes, ADA accepts males!
- How do I enroll my child at ADA?You can register during working hours or you can do it online.
- What payment methods are accepted?Payments are made through our Parent Portal.
